The lobby for Disco Bowl did it again. Robert Colin is a Los Angeles based artist who began in 2008 to study the various states of plexiglas, moulded in shapes usually known as plush. He deliberately chose the pillow and worked to give it a shape which doesn’t lose its softness and tenderness.  It creates a contrast between a cold and edgy look opposed to what a pillow evoques in a random spectator mind. The pillow inspires rest, sleep and sweet dreams. According to Colin, we all keep a very specific relationship with our pillow.

His work is part of the group exhibition Devided Brain at LAVA Project in Los Angeles.
