Louvre d’Abu Dhabi is the first intergovernmental museum, founded by the collaboration between France and the United Arabian Emirates, aiming to create a universal and multicultural place. This institution will dispose of the Louvre appellation during 30 years.
The building, conceived by Jean Nouvel, is composed of 55 white low-lying structures that reproduce the shape of traditional houses of the region. The whole museum is covered by a monumental dome which structure is made of 7850 various-sized stars.
