The Yves Saint Laurent Marrakech Museum opened this October 2017 in Marrakech, the city that captured Saint Laurent’s heart since he first visited in the 1960s. Dedicated to the life and work of fashion designer, it was designed by French architecture firm Studio KO who used terracotta bricks and terrazzo for the building’s exterior, made to resemble threads of fabric.

The museum has a 400 sqm permanent exhibition space dedicated to the designer’s prolific works, as well as a library, bookstore, an auditorium and a café. Between the Yves Saint Laurent museums in Marrakech and Paris, we are treated to over 5000 clothing items, 15,000 haute couture accessories, sketches and assorted objects.
