Architects from the Flemish studio De Vylder Vinck Taillieu created this underground winery in the ancient city of Matera. This city of Southern Italy is famous for its troglodyte habitations, the sassi, and now has a new underground establishment with an elegant design. The project of the Belgian architects was selected among five other propositions from european architects. Under the carved vaults, Enoteca dai Tosi is both a wine bar and a wine cellar. Small touches of green sprinkle the place and contrast with the ocher stones which creates a refined atmosphere.
