It was during a trip to India that self-taught artist Kanat Nurtazin, originally from Kazakstan, made a series of paper creations. After starting to draw in 2013, he quickly became interested in mixed media art. One of his favorite techniques for creating art is cutting real tree leaves. An avid traveler, he especially enjoys exploring new cultures and discovering new places “But more than traveling, I love art. So whenever and wherever I go art helps me to capture and memorialize traveling moments.,” as is the case for this series.
