Born in Poland, Karo Knitter is a complete autodidact, who has been raised in Germany. The artist creates beautiful art pieces with dry flowers. “In my work, I try to combine the two aspects of my childhood. On one side the urban culture of the concrete area, where I was raised. On the other side the kitsch and nature of Poland”, as she explains in her statement. Her pieces are poetic and are sometimes compositions made with vintage objects, wood, or ceramics.
