If Jerzy « Jotka » Kędziora is also a painter, a designer, and a teacher, it is today is his sculpting career that we will focus. His pieces are gravity-defying characters, that never look completely still. They are visible in public spaces, such as residential areas, bridges, gardens, parks, outside museum spaces, for example. « I wanted to create a character which, when set up on a rope, can maintain a relative balance. The result of my experiences to be able to do it became the illusion of the loss of gravity. My sculptures look like they are falling from the sky towards the magnetic core, with the rope as the only thing to hold the piece’s mass », says he.
