The trio We Make Carpets is coming back with some impressing installations : you can first believe that it is a giant colored carpet while when you look better you can recognize that the composition is composed by clothespins, badminton birdie, different kind of sponges et some other daily life objects.
The trio started working together in 2009, pesenting the first artwork made of pine cones and conifer needles during the Dutch Design Week. They therefore decided to continue to collaborate by creating six other carpets. They all work in a very intuitive way, without following a precise working method and by building they compositions following just their intuition from the center to the exterior. Daily objects became therefore fantastic tools that unveil all their creative potential.
