Alex Shtanuk, a Moscow-based designer, has launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo website, his project being to install a gigantic reflective cover for the next edition of the Burning Man Festival. Consisting of 3350 survival blankets developed by NASA and linked together over 40 kilometers with reinforced tape, it would reflect the sun’s rays, creating a fresh space of 10,000m2 for festival-goers, “where everybody could relax, chill, have a nap or dance. ”

Gigantic, this cover will change constantly thanks to the power of wind, taking surrealistic forms such as “waves, mountains, or a fantastic and giant sculpture.” A small scale reproduction has been done by the artist to test its proper functioning. So if you want his work to become a reality, you know what you have to do!
