In the context of sustainable development and ecology, how can we actually improve the way we live in our cities? In order to answer this question, Smart invites urban citizens to have a unique experience through a selection of creative and innovative discoveries.
It is in a former abandoned school turned into a coworking space, that the smart electric base of Paris will be taking place.
7,000 square meters and about 10 days to inspire and reflect on the future of urban mobility.
The artists will be the first to get an actual grip on this theme. Presented by Fubiz, the artistic installations of Mr. Plant and Ludovic Fesson are offering to put nature back at the center of urban concerns.
Painter Clément Laurentin will take on the subject through a creative happening. Smart let him a “carte blanche” to design directly on a set of miniature cars, then on the walls of the space.
The program also includes a series of workshops led by big players of modern ecology. Urban dwellers will have the possibility to design their own clothes from recycled materials, listen to music thanks to solar energy, or even customize their very own skateboards with the creators from Mano Paris.
To offer actual solutions to the visitors, a cycle of six conferences animated by visionaries, entrepreneurs, and creators is organized. Speakers and listeners will share their views on sharing the city of tomorrow. Air quality, recycled materials, and autonomous navigation will be brought up amongst other themes relative to the modern human way of life, a few years from now.
Finally, to celebrate the launch of smart’s latest electric drive range, visitors will be offered the opportunity to test electric driving, trying out the new models of the smart fortwo, smart cabrio, and smart forfour.
In conclusion, from the 13th to the 21st of October 2017, the future will be electric!
