The architect office Snøhetta won the competition for the construction of the Banque Libano Française in Beirut. The cabinet wanted to create a form which would be generic and conceptual at the same time to represent the future of the bank. The carved spaces in the global structure aim at maintaining a certain connexion with the streets and surroundings. The architects wanted to design a building which would be sustainable but also welcoming and accessible to anyone.
