After the success of his work Ocean of Flowers in 2012 at Sydney Art Biennale, the Chinese artist Li Hongbo pursued his exploration of colored paper sculptures. The installation Irons for the Ages, Flowers for the Day was developed as a large critic of violence featuring sculpted paper guns. Mixed with the bright colors and the delicacy of the material, the sadly well-known forms of weapons disappear to let the visitor experience beauty.
