In the heart of London’s East End, we can discover a mysterious mansion named Malplaquet House, typical and old. Dating from 1741, this incredible house is part of the numerous forgotten mansions of the capitale. Destined to demolition, this building seduced the Spitalfields Trust, in the 90’s, who bought it and sold it for 250 000£, to Tim Knox, a British historian and director of the Cambridge’s Fitzwilliam Museum . With renowned landscaper Todd Longstaffe-Gowan, Tim Knox renovated this historic building to restore the gardens, the blueprints and design.

This mansion was last occupied in 1895, and before this time, it was a four story building divided in apartments and shops. Today, it’s for sale at 2,950,000£, with all its antique furniture, relics and Latin busts.
