Lori Nelson is a painter based in Brooklyn, which grew up in Utah, in a Mormons’ family. As a child, she reproduced biblical drawings of worship. Today, her bizarre characters are often represented with joint hands for the prayer. She explains that she focus on a parallel and mythological world, creatures looking like human beings, who experience human feelings. She also paints many forests, which of are not dangerous and terrible, but especially magic.
