Since the beginning of february, the photographer Graham Fink exhibits his work in the London-based art gallery Riflemaker. His project, called Ballads of Shanghaï, attempts to describe the almost palpable atmosphere of change that’s currently present in this overpopulated Chinese megalopolis. The inhabitated buildings, which are partially ruined or dilapidated, become a playground for local street-artists. The scenery is captivating and melancholic and the spectators of the exhibition become witnesses of both a bygone era and the birth of another one.
