Agnes Herczeg is a Hungarian artist whose work consists of weaving figurative motifs with coloured nylon strands and found pieces of wood, either by integrating them into her image or by using them as a frame. Here in this series of intimate scenes, the artist mixes bucolic scenes with and without central subjects, weaving knots that draw the motif through transparency. The works thus produced are then suspended, and it is with some distance that the eye is able to see the image that the assembly of threads produces. The colour gradients are admirable, as is the use of uneven pieces of wood that support and enhance the entire weaving process.
