If you live in Madrid, you probably have not missed it. American artist Janet Echelman unveiled her latest hanging wire installation currently on display in Plaza Mayor. Titled “1.78 Madrid”, this work is made up of fibers that have been braided and knotted together to form a lightweight net that envelops the movement of the wind. The highlight of the show : in the evening, colorful lights are projected on the work. The goal ? Create more dynamism and make the creation even more aesthetic.
