“Movement is the the soul’s desire to be free. To be free, is the most important thing.” Says Lindsay Kemp in Stopping Time. Many people ignore his existence, but Kate Bush and David Bowie owe to him a lot : the dancer taught them how to move, to express themselves through the body ; to be free. Adrian Sibley met him in Livorno, Italy, where at the age of 77, he continues to be inhabited by his passion, and to teach it.
