For the 3e Scène of the Opera de Paris, director Wendy Morgan collaborated with American dancer Lil Buck, specialized in a street dance’s style called “Jookin”. The Jookin is a dance born in Memphis, that combines smooth gestures, blockages, sliding movements, footworks and pantomime expressions. In the film Etoiles, I See You, Wendy Morgan transposed this dancer into the classical decor of the Opera de Paris, in an almost-anachronic way. Thanks to his presence, this interpret manages to find his place in the middle of past artworks that seem to communicate with him. His movements, his appearance and his style echo with the sculptures and the canvas of the Palais Garnier.
