Marion Cotillard plays the volcanic Gabrielle, a young woman believed to be mad because she refuses the social pressure of her bourgeoise family and wants to live a true love story. She is married to José whom she’s not in love. Gone on a cure, she meets André played by Louis Garrel and it sparkles her desire of absolute fusion.
