
Hands of Stone is a biopic focusing on the Panama-boxer Roberto Duran, played by Edgar Ramirez. This boxer started in 68, at the age of 16 years old, and retired at 50, in 2002. In 60, at 38, his defeat against Sugar Ray Leonard (Usher) made him lose the World Champion title. In November, he returns on the ring to fight his adversary and gets famous thanks to his punchline “no mas”. Then, he was nicknamed “hands of stone”. The plot focuses on this failure, with his trainer, played by Robert De Niro, who believed in him since his childhood. A movie directed by Jonathan Jakubowicz, in theaters on Summer 2016.
