In his illustrations and his art practice, Paul White “explores the every day, through pencil work on paper”. His very detailed pieces depict isolated places, animals, or abandoned old cars. In his older works from 2015/2016, the artist also represented colorful flowers and a plant out of its pot full of tortuous roots. He has been awarded the Pollock-Krasner Grant, Metro Art Award and is a two-time winner of the Muswellbrook Art Prize works on paper. He has been a finalist in many other art awards including the Fleurieu Art Prize, Hazelhurst Art Prize, Paul Guest Drawing Prize, Hobart City Art Prize, Fishers Ghost Art Prize, and National Works on Paper to name a few.
