Ukrainian artist Zhanna Kadyrova created the reproduction of a typical food selling spot. In her series “Market”, she presented all the elements that we can find in this kind of place such as: a table, mechanical scales, vegetable boxes and a plastic chair. But also a glow-lamp illuminating from the inside the metal frame, covered with a blue tent. Plus than the place itself, the artist added common products like watermelons, zucchini, eggplant, chicken eggs, hams, and sausages.

In this series, Kadyrova used different building materials like ceramic tiles, cement, concrete and natural stone. It was presented for the first time at the ART Monte Carlo fair in Monaco. There, she broke the art market rules of forming prices for art objects. Indeed, she was selling it by weight : 1 gram = 1$.
