Iconic graffiti artist born in Brooklyn, Jean-Michel Basquiat has created hundreds of works in which poetic texts and sentences have been inserted. Inspired by his intimate thoughts, society or his own experience, these words sometimes difficult to decipher contribute to the charm of the artist’s works.

“Basquiat-ism”, recently published by Larry Warsh, is a compilation of unpublished quotes from the artist related to his works. A work that immerses us in the heart of the artist’s vision, and his reflections on the world or contemporary art.

“The main impression I hope to give readers is a true sense of who he really was” explains publisher Larry Warsh.
