Hailing from Beijing, China, illustrator and designer Guodong Zhao has created a series of adorable animal creatures immersed in what seems to be this era’s preferred hobbies: chilling on the couch with Netflix on. Titled Lazy Things, Zhao renders a cat tapping on an X-Box controller, an otter glued to iPhone, and a crocodile spacing out in front of his Nintendo, all of them comfortably installed on their beanbags. To achieve the intricate details and textures of each animal, Zhao used the Pixologic ZBrush, a digital sculpting tool combining 3D modelling, texturing and painting.
