The historical boat of New York firemen, the Fireboat John J. Harvey, has been the protagonist of a new artwork by artist Tauba Auberbach. Flow Separation is an hommage to the 100d anniversary of World War I. The peinter was indeed inspired by camouflage techniques by Normal Wilkinson, consisting in making the shape of the boats unclear for the ennemy. The title is inspired by the wake that a boat crossing the water leaves behind. A powerful artwork with a strong symbolic intention.
