ADA is a monumental art work. A gigantic bubble of air covered with black spikes, which floats in the middle of a white space. Anyone crosses her on her way could taker her for a threatening creature. In reality, ADA can be tame. When playing with her, we discover that her spikes are charcoal sticks. At the rate of visitors and draughts, ADA crosses the space and draws strange patterns on the walls, the floor and the ceiling. Karina Smigla-Bobinski, her creator, speaks about “art work with a soul”.
Since its emerging, the interactive work ADA travels all over the world. Today, she stops in Rennes for the MAINTENANT festival who takes place from 10 to 15 October.
To discover: the poetic work of the Greek Yiannis Kranidiotis, Smile, the participative installation of Varvara & Mar duo, or Night Textiles 2.0, which brings together students, artists, musicians and designers around the same theme for a visual, audio and digital interpretation of the textile.
