By combining two atmospheres that are fundamentally opposed in his artworks, the Scottish painter Andrew McIntosh creates unusual panoramas. Abandoned places are therefore associated to sunsets or surfaces of water. This “exercise of attraction”, as he describes it himself, aims to interest and to intrigue the viewers due to the duality that we just mentioned.
