The Bastille Opera where the Fubiz Talks will take place on the next 22nd of September, will host one of the most representative character of contemporary ballet.

Soon after his beginnings of young dancer, Dimitri Chamblas headed towards choreography direction. In the 90’s, he quickly collaborates with very famous artists like Jean-Paul Gaultier or Andy Goldsworthy. He then creates EDNA with the choreographer Boris Charmatz. The association aims at exploring the frontiers between video, literature, exhibition and danse. Their choreography A bras le corps is now danced all over the world. After that, Dimitri Chamblas flies to Los Angeles where he produces video clips and commercials for his company Same Production. There he creates in 2011 the LA Dance Project with Benjamin Millepied.

Responding to the call of Paris National Opera, he comes back to France to lead the project 3e Scène whom is named artistic director in March 2015. To guide the Opera in its numerical transition, Dimitri Chamblas is free to do what he loves and does well: open the gates of the institution and mix dance with other artistic fields. This challenge should make it possible for the Opera to evolve with the new talents and so meet its public among the new generations.
