Born in 1984, Syrian and Swedish artist Jwan Yosef got his BA in arts at the Konstfack University in Stockholm and a Fine Art MA at the Central Saint Martins College of Art in London, the city he now lives in. Recently, he did paintings on canvas, showing framed portraits or blank canvas but totally distorted and folded. It allows him to add depths and relief to a work that he considers “flat” and unfinished.
