Andrew Myers’ Art for Blind People

Touching meeting between a painter using screws, and blind woodworker.

We have already spoken about the incredible art of Andrew Myers, which realizes portraits with screws. His works allow blind people to see for a moment, thanks to the touch, to feel artworks. The short movie shows meeting of the artist with George Wurtzel, a blind woodworker and a professor of Napa Valley. Andrew makes him the surprise to realize his portrait, and allow him to see what he looks like. A touching meeting which rings as an answer in echo to the question : why touching art is it so taboo ?
