Lhunatica is a Venezuelan illustrator based in Montpellier, France. She arrived as a political refugee, in the pursuit of safety, meaningful connections, and life-changing experiences. All of this compelled her to leave her family behind and create a home in foreign lands, which has in turn, helped her reinvent herself on her new path towards artistic expression. Her series “The paths of life” has several pieces that are thought of as a visual manifestation of the labyrinthic paths that are presented to us in our life, those that ” we took blindly guided by destiny, those we were pushed to take and that become a heavy burden or those that we carry inside to find ourselves”, explains the artist. Each labyrinth is sculpted by time and perception, each labyrinth a path to the present. “And all of them together are the paths of life”, she concludes.
