Berlin architects Tom Wünschmann, Achim Kaufer, Wei Cai and Philipp Buschmeyer and the Chinese design institutes SADI and JDTM have created an “infinite” bridge with sinuous lines that crosses the Fu Hé River in Chengdu, China. In this infrastructure, the roads cross each other while following the movement of the water and enhancing the urban context.

The design team created a continuous pedestrian path over the so-called “Wuchazi” bridge, transforming the structure into a recreational destination that goes beyond purely functional engineering. The bridge connects the Century City New International Conference & Exhibition Center and the riverfront park with nearby residential areas in a beautiful figure eight over the river.
