With its circular shape and pop-colored window glasses, the “Tianshui Kaleidoscope” kindergarten in Gansu province, China, looks like a huge rainbow cake. Completed since January by SAKO Architects, the building plays with light like a giant kaleidoscope thanks to 438 pieces of glass tinted in ten different colors. During the day, the lighting in the building is constantly changing depending on the inclination of the sun, offering children a unique environment. And in the evening, the light of the kindergarten illuminates the night through hundreds of colored panels.
