Until February 23, 2020, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts offers visitors to literally immerse themselves in Edward Hopper’s Western Motel masterpiece. The museum was indeed inspired by the well known canvas to recreate the decor of its hotel room in 3D : colors, decor elements, light orientation, everything is there. The installation, named “Hopper Hotel Experience”, takes place in the exhibition Edward Hopper and The American Hotel which brings together more than 60 works by the American painter, but also other artists, around the visual culture of hotels and places intended to welcome travelers.
