Illustrator Andrew Rae and photographer Ruskin Kyle gathered around a common project on addiction to smartphones.

The artists captured everyday situations during which people are captivated by their smartphone, and created a whole dreamlike – and ironic – world around these scenes. « I always go for a walk on Hampstead Heath in the mornings for inspiration and I found myself nearly bumping into people on their phones» says Rae. Seeing the passer-by walk their dog with the phone in hand, the illustrator imagines the camera as a new pet in the form of a surreal creature.
