British artist Conrad Shawcross has created a stunning public structure in central London, called “Bicameral”. Located not far from one of London’s botanical gardens, this sculpture was created to show how important the botanical history of the region is. The eight-meter high work of art made entirely of aluminum has been made without any welding, the artist was inspired by techniques from the Japanese carpentry to create it. It represents both the neural system of a human brain and a tree whose massive branches divide into multiple ones.
