In continuation of its ephemeral shop called “Gross Domestic Product”, Banksy has recently opened an online store of the same name. We can find pieces signed by the street artist and suffused with his satirical tone, like a baby mobile made of twenty surveillance cameras, or a truck with migrants’ figurines to learn to count.

If he has always been against the commercial exploitation of his work, Banksy has been forced to create this website to protect his works against a company that wants to file his name to market fake goods. The profits, like those of the pop-up store, will finance migrant rescue missions in the Mediterranean.

Made in an art studio and not industrially, all the works are already out of stock. “GDP may prove to be a disappointing retail experience – especially if you’re successful in making a purchase”, warns the artist.
