In a bid to help protect bees, McDonald’s recently commissioned creative agency NORDDDB to design its smallest restaurant yet called McHive. These miniature McDonald’s houses are exclusively conceived to host a particular client : the bees ! An original way to engage a fast-food chain into the preservation of our environment and of this particular bug, who is crucial to our survival. The idea started in Sweden, where a lot of McDonald’s already installed beehives on their roof. Now, this plan is going global and, to encourage the wild bees to come, several restaurants already plant flowers around their structure. An interesting project to follow here.
