QimmyShimmy is a Singapore-based artist specialized in illustration and sculpture in polymer clay. Her small, incredibly realistic and disturbing creations take the form of anatomical parts and human heads. Originally trained in graphic design, the artist wanted to establish a work offbeat and “delusional”, out of the usual artistic criteria and tending towards strange stuff. The anatomical elements are sometimes embedded in fake clay foods, creating an astonishing contrast between horror and softness, both attractive and repulsive.
