« I love to learn new things and I’m always trying to get new information from anywhere I can », says Raùl Sisniega. The Mexican artist that studied Graphic design and visual communications at the school of fine arts and design in the national university of Mexico, started to draw and paint in his home. « I wasn’t showing my work to anyone first. But my friend Gerardo came to my house one day and saw my drawings and paintings. He adviced me to find a way to share them on the streets. That’s when I came with the idea of doing street art. After months doing so, I had an opportunity to paint a mural inside an elementary school in 2010 and since then it has been a non-stop trip on a long whirly slide ».

« I get my visual references from many different sources. Some of them are as old as cartoons, nintendo and sega video games. Others come from my art history classes, and a lot of them come from music, movies and science. I have a particular interest in biology and physics; specifically in the microcosmos and the macrocosmos. Since I started to take a look at how my body works and the environment surrounding it, I received many moments of joy and amazing personal discoveries. It’s this feeling of joy and amazement that drives me to create and share with all the viewers the things that blow my mind ».
