Photographer Tessa Dóniga from Madrid recently created a series of shots titled “Break / Fast” about breakfast, and different ways to destroy it. The project was realized in collaboration with the newspaper Polpettas, with which the artist decided to break down the word “Breakfast” in order to create an absurd work about the breakfast, meal that one takes in a rather fast way, to “break” it in many ways. The surreal visuals include a broken bowl of cereal with a hammer, a plate of butter melted with a hair dryer, a box of beans cut in half, or pancakes ironed in the oven. using an iron. Thus, the photographer relates the two parts of the word “Breakfast” in each of her beautiful images.
