Olivia Erlanger is a New York-based artist and writer who has imagined a fantastic and contemporary world in which real-life mermaids emerge from washing machines. The installation of this work was done in partnership with Mother Culture, a contemporary art platform located near the Laundromat. Inspired by science fiction, the artist had already made several installations, including a representative of snake languages ​​exhibited at the Mathew gallery in New York in 2016. In all his achievements, the artist manages to recreate a universe fictional coherent, and compatible with the contemporary world.
