The Japanese artistic collective , familiar with installations playing with the instability of human perception, produces a destabilizing work, exhibited at the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo until May 29. In a small room, a reproduction of the dark and disturbing ocean swell oscillates as light enters the room through the window at the back of the installation. Depending on the time of day, the agitation of the flow differs, as Ignant explains. Both an ode to the impetuous nature and an artistic translation of the powerful threat to the oceans, this work raises alarming themes, such as the melting of glaciers, sea pollution or access to drinkable water.
