DNA is a new 2-tiered project born from the desire to share a vision of multidisciplinary and borderless design. The first stage is the DNA Paris Design Awards, followed by the Summer Design Conference–a series of talks, workshops, exhibitions and other insightful design-related experiences.

For this first edition of the Paris Design Awards, DNA has launched an international call for entries to all creatives and thinkers from the design world, in order to discover and highlight new and cutting-edge ideas in architecture, interior, landscape, product, and graphic design. The goal is to highlight fresh new talents and promote smart and impactful designs and projects.

What makes this award so special is its world-renowned, international, multicultural and multidisciplinary jury. It is composed of 25 talented creatives who defy the limits of design. Here are three members of this stellar jury in the spotlight: Marcus Engman, the founders of Toiletpaper magazine Maurizio Cattelan & Pierpaolo Ferrari and the duo Fanny Dora & Morgan Maccari.

Marcus Engman has been the Head of Design of IKEA for more than 6 years. Through collaborations with Adidas, Lego, Tom Dixon and Virgil Abloh, among others, he has turned it into a globally influential design brand. He also created new initiatives to expand the IKEA experience, such as the IKEA festival, an event merging design, lifestyle, architecture, music and food that took place during the Milan Design Week.

The contemporary artist Maurizio Cattelan and the photographer Pierpaolo Ferrari are the creators of the renowned and iconoclastic art magazine, Toiletpaper. They create surreal and disturbing images by using the codes of advertising, film and fashion with twisted visual narratives. Their style can be recognized through their use of bright colors and meticulous stagings.
