In February 2019, during the Frame Awards ceremony in Amsterdam, Finnish designer Linda Bergroth was awarded the Sustainability Award for her project Zero Waste Bistro. This award recognizes a variety of interior design and spatial projects offering economic, social and environmental solutions.

This temporary Nordic-style restaurant made entirely from recycled and recyclable materials, was commissioned by the Finnish Cultural Institute in New York. It has been featured during the WantedDesign Manhattan event at NYCxDesign last spring.

Designed by Linda Bergroth, and co-curated by Bergroth and designer Harri Koskinen, Zero Waste Bistro was created on themes of circular economy, new material innovations, and sustainable design.
