Isabella Cotier was born in London, and studied at the London School of Fashion. In her collaboration with Gucci, all the power of the dynamism and libertarian energy of her drawing flourishes. The dazzling nature of her line is marvellous with this series of portraits of individuals sketched on the spot in cafés and restaurants. Their clothing, posture and attitude are seized and framed here to celebrate the freedom of expression through clothing. But beyond that, it is also the freedom of art that abounds in these portraits, the freedom of shapes, colours, creation, a freedom with regard to codes and expectations. Here no perspective, the spectator is free to place the characters in the situations he wants, and beyond, to let the story that each one tells speak.
