Ukrainian artist Hannah Dovhan enchants us with a series of anthropomorphic wool figurines. Coloured, woven with a needle, these vegetable figurines, trees, mushrooms, chopsticks, mountains are presented as couples, families, friends. Sometimes they even wear a smile, two little black eyes and when you look at it, some even have a thin moustache. Whether staged or not, these little heroes of our daily lives take on a friendly and poetic dimension. Through the artist’s eyes, the mind marvels again, like a return to childhood, at the multiple physical characteristics of the world around us.
