Scottish artist Rob Mulholland creates reflective sculptures in Plexiglas, and then disposes them in the environment. Usually, these are almost imperceptible because of this “mirror” effect. He was recently commissioned by the Morecambe Bay Partnership, acting for the conservation of the environment and cultural heritage of Morecambe Bay, to create a facility whose forms reflect the region’s past.

This plan is part of the “Headlands to Headspace” project, created to protect natural habitats of the bay. The artist has created six reflective figures and two dwellings, echoing the communities that once occupied the bay. These awesome sculptures thus provide a new perspective on the surrounding hills and sea.
