Erin Nicholls has a true passion for Japanese culture. She is particularly attached to Tokyo street dark but bewitching ambiance, but also by natural landscapes typical of this still mysterious island. Her painting work is a poetic hommage to Japan and to urban and country landscapes.

At the same time modern and nostalgic, these paintings reflect the contradictory soul of Japan, at the same time modern and inspired by an ancestral tradition. Here, a selection of some of the most remarkable series of the artist : A Night in Japan, A Year in Japan and Tokyo Crossing. A picturesque trip even more powerful than a photo reportage.
